Everybody loves Zoidberg!

Joyce and Walky!: Terms of endearment.

I was totally gung-ho about this whole wordless collection of Batman Punches Every Six-Inch Scale Figure I Own montage.  But it will, at least, have to have some words, going forward.

See, I just remembered that, oh, some of my advertisement partners like, you know, words on pages.  Images, not so good.  And I want to continue using them, so.  Before I make a financial mistake and move all the text off my front page...

Anyway, I'm super-excited about this storyline!  It's one I wanted to do a long time ago, actually, back in It's Walky!.  It would have course been almost completely different except for the two key elements I've maintained.  1) Meet Mike's parents.  2) Fight Giant Mutant Frosted Honey Bun.  I had planned it for It's Walky!, as I said, but then 9/11 happened, and suddenly a storyline about a huge rampage through New York seemed in bad taste.  And then the end of It's Walky! happened, and well you know.

So I've had these ideas for Mike's parents floating around in the back of my head since then.  And with Amber now his girlfriend, whether he likes it or not, it was a good time to revisit it.  But could I still have them fight the Honey Bun?  Would it fit the tone of the Shortpacked! corner of the universe?

I asked some folks, and they were very adamant about keeping the Hostess monster.  So I thought about it, and then realized that it could work.  The Honey Bun could fulfill an important part of Mike and Amber's story here.  But you'll see what I mean.

Hope you enjoy!  I had way too much fun drawing this sequence.  And it took me about twice as long per comic, just to orchestrate everything to my standards.  (Why did I do this in the middle of a city?  Doubling my work...)  Toy jokes will return soon enough.
