Modern alien coatwear for the discerning lavendar alien.

When I heard from my pal Sarevock that the Mattel booth had no line, we zipped over there.  I expected it was because most things that people actually wanted were sold out, and I was right.  No Egon/Slimer for me!  But they had plenty of this Green Lantern set.  Hooray?

It comes with GL-suited Sinestro, Hal-in-a-flight-jacket, and Abin Sur-the-dead-GL-who-gives-Hal-his-ring.  They have interchangeable heads so you can put Hal's head on either of the other guys' bodies.  Sinestro and purple bald Spock have differently-painted costumes so you can choose between them for Hal.

(Hal doesn't have his mask because of that one employee exclusive Hal Jordan JLU figure thing that they want to keep exclusive.)

The packaging is pretty cool - not because it's lantern shaped, but because you can just pop off the bubble and pop it back on.  No tearing!  ....too bad I probably won't have room for it in my suitcase on the way back home.  The back shows photography of the head swapping gimmick, though they totally photoshop it wrong.  Only the head is copy-pasted from body to body, but in real life the neck has to go with it.  Whoops!

The set is totally worth it just to make yourself a schnazzy suit for Abin Sur.

One more day!

Shortpacked!@TNI: Need to get working Photoshop on this laptop...
Shortpacked! guest comic: Batman, etc.

Con is over!  I am bushed.   I'm stuck in San Diego until tomorrow night, arriving home by airplane on Tuesday morning.  Thanks for coming, everybody!

Today is a guest strip by Jhiaxus/Boltax/Andrew/whoever, a pal of mine in the Transformers community.  I am sure you will enjoy it.  He drew it a while ago back when the idea struck, and I've been sitting on it for a while!

I'm totally beat, so I'm sorry this blog is a little sparse!  I'll get more images and pictures to you when I have more time and energy.

So, who wants an Amber maquette?
