Hey, remember Japan's Pepsi Convoy? Well, Hasbro's bringing him over as a limited-release Pepsi contest giveaway, with new packaging and new shorter smokestacks. I'm not too worried about trying to get him, 'cuz I already have the otherwise identical Japanese version. And, hey, the version I have is a new Pepsi Man-esque character, rather than being Prime in a new Pepsi-whoring body, so that's a little more fun.

Man, did you know they're making Bumblebee sandles? This whole movie merchandising blitz thing is crazy. It's a good thing that the Transformers underwear that popped up on eBay were only in boys sizes. We're spared. You know I'd have to put up pictures.

Yesterday, Maggie and my pal Spy (known in the real world as "Rob") hung out in Japan Town. At the Kabuki theatre, we saw the new Zach Braff movie, "The Ex," and I believe it was enjoyed! (Though Maggie said some scenes hurt when they resembled some of her job woes.) We ate out at a Japanese restaurant afterwards, and I learned that I can cook my own meat on a tiny grill without getting food poisoning. Sweet!

Today, while the Mags was earning her daily bread, I struck out with my camera and my backpack and took the BART across the bay into San Francisco. I got off at the Civic Center station, where the United Nations building is. And up I walked towards the bay along Market Street.

There are soooo many donut places. Oh my friggin' gosh. Also, I found a small toy shop that brok street date on the Legends-class (the small dudes) Transformers movie toys. I got Bumblebee and Barricade. If you really need your fix before June 2, they got plenty left at Jeffrey's, a toys and comic book shop east of Westfield and the Metreon on Market. (Bumblebee sucks, Barricade is all right.)

PHOTOS.

Buildings! Trees! Lazy people!

There is a clocktower. Also, bikes!

Along the bay you can see the Bay Bridge cross the sky and crash into Treasure Island. Along the bay you can see the Bay Bridge cross the sky and crash into Treasure Island.
Don't worry, it comes safely out the other side.

Buildings go up the hill! Buildings go up the hill!

What you don't see: Lots of fishermen speaking in foreign tongues! Well, probably all the same foreign tongue. Unless it was a multilingual conversation. Hmmm...

Alcatraz! Alcatraz!
Michael Bay did a movie there.

The guy on the stage down there said, "I've been working here at Pier 39 for twenty years! And I'm still a chick magnet." There was no laughter. I felt bad.

BRIDGE!
Here's an awesome picture that I forgot to upload the first time. I admit it may only be awesome to me. I just love bridges, okay? Especially when they crash across the sky with a fearful cry. I adore the tiny cars and trucks crossing it from so very far away. Bridges just do it for me. The only thing that's better than bridges are more bridges, cris-crossing, swirling around each other, blocking the sun. I mean it!

I may be weird.

We're in the final half hour to order the first Shortpacked! book! THIS COULD BE YOUR FINEST MOMENT.
