That's Eastern time, btw
Shortpacked!: So absent-minded.

Let's get this thing going!

I finally got the price-per-book quote from my publisher, and so I'm going to put the first Roomies! collection, aka "Roomies! or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Beer," up for preorder on Monday. That's the Monday that's just after this weekend! That's... *counts on fingers* four days?

(Well, Sunday night, technically, at update time for Monday's strip.)

There'll be the usual choice between the normally-for-$15+shipping deal or the sketch/autograph "Extra!" upgrade deal, of course. And same as always, the Roomies! Extra! version will be limited to 200 copies. Those go fast!

But regardless! Sunday night! 11 o'clock! Be ready!

Galasso looks confused as well as to why he is out of his cage. Or maybe he's just wondering why amber shaved him.

Oh my god! Galasso has been freed! What hell hath thee unleashed, Willis!?

On the bright side, we seem to have returned to a state of normalcy.

Going with the "Final Crisis" theme... Ehtan will realize that he can conceptually imprison Galasso by making him to wear a Trainee's vest. A living symbol representing the fundamental force that is restriction.

Awesome. I'll be there with PayPal at the ready.

Though now I'm curious. What would the "A collection of comic strips about ____" read for It's Walky!?

I've been wondering that, myself. I have a few options! "Battling aliens." "Saving the world." "Nachitos."

Do the "Bring back Roomies" strips go in here, or volume 2? Or equally apportioned between both? (Did they occur in no-time?)

Roomies Redux goes in volume 1, yeah. That's where they go in chronological order. By necessity, they go before the "Ruth tells her horrid sexy backstory" story, which I've put in the beginning of book 2.

You might as well just pencil me in for an "Extra" edition right now. Aw hell, use a pen instead! :D

Hopefully, Ethan's read Final Crisis #7. Sort of... blunts this story a bit. And not just because it's batshit insane.

Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Though, even though the Omega Beams have been known to do that (as Sonny Sumo points out at one point in the many jumbles of nonsense this miniseries called dialogue), they don't usually...leave a corpse.

Morrison has this bad habit of establishing way too many story threads, and then not having enough room in the final issue to fit in all of the necessary resolutions and a coherent narrative. The narrative is usually the first thing to get the axe, and you're left with a final issue that's more like a movie trailer for the final issue, just a bunch of big flashy highlights strung together randomly. The final issue of Seven Soldiers also had this problem, though to a lesser extent (and the component miniseries were for the most part sufficiently self-contained that it remained satisfying).

Waitaminnut... Amber SHAVED Galasso?! What twisted Freudian desire sparked that little bit of dialog? And what other crazy shit is lurking down in the depths of his subconscious just waiting to emerge? I am assuming Ethan is still in his coma from a couple weeks ago right?

That wasn't Ethan. It was his (previously) much happier and more fulfilled counterpart from McAwesome's. He got beaned by the lead clock when it was tossed out Shortpacked!'s front door by Spider-Car.

The comic isn't sufficient. I have to give personalized dream-smashing.
