You know, I think it's time you guys knew the creation process behind this strip. I know, I know, you've seen every other cartoonist's "How I draw my strip" dissertation on the Internet, and you're thinking, "How can yours be appreciably different?" Well, it's a lot more complicated than you'd actually think.
First I get a letter-sized piece of paper and draw a 3"x10" border in non-photo blue pencil. I tend to divide this space up into 4 equal panels of 2.5", but not always. (I usually also measure out the borders for the next comic below.)
Then I pencil in Doug Funnie fucking ALF in the ass.
Now it's time to pencil in the strip.
Using a fine-tipped marker, first I mark in the panel borders using a ruler. Then I ink in most of the lines, then detail in the thinner lines using a very fine-tipped pen.
After scanning in the strip, filling in the blacks digitally, and then adding dialogue and/or narration, the strip is complete!

And that's how the strip is made!
